Post Malone foi o grande vencedor dos Billboard Music Awards
Os Billboard Music Awards 2020 aconteceram ontem e Post Malone foi o grande destaque com 16 indicações. Este ano, quem venceu o melhor álbum de Rock, foram os Tool.
Post Malone foi um dos grandes vencedores da noite, das 16 indicações que tinha, venceu 9 prémios, sendo que um era de melhor artista do ano.
A gala de prémios estava marcada para Abril, mas devido à pandemia teve de ser adiada para o mês de Outubro. A cerimónia decorreu no Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, mas sem audiência. O evento foi apresentado pela cantora Kelly Clarkson.
Os Billboard Music Awards contaram com algumas actuações, umas delas foi a de Lizzo, vencedora do “Top Song Sales Artist”, que apelou ao voto dos cidadãos americanos, nas eleições de Novembro. Também Billie Eilish merece destaque por vencer o “Billboard 200 album” depois da artista ter vencido, este ano, o Grammy de álbum do ano.
Para além disso, Kanye West venceu os prémios de “Top Gospel Album” e “Top Christian Album”, com “Jesus is King”. O rapper e também candidato à presidência dos Estados Unidos da América, é o primeiro artista a vencer estas duas categorias.
Os Tool, com o álbum “Fear Inoculum”, venceram o “Top Rock Album”. É a segunda vez que um álbum de hard-rock vence esta categoria. O primeiro foi o “Hardwired…to Self-Destruct” dos Metallica, em 2017.
