A Blackstar refere que os novos amps foram construídos de raíz por baixistas e com os baixistas em mente. Podemos depreender que os circuitos dos amps de guitarra da marca não foram usados como ponto de partida para estes novos modelos. Quanto às características em destaque, a Blackstar refere a simplicidade e a potência dos modelos. Os amps, numa gama entre os 30 e os 500 watts, possuem o controlo Response, da Blackstar, que permite aos músicos escolherem entre mais som ou mais resposta nos três estágios de potência, definindo a compressão, drive natural e dinâmicas. Depois há mais definições sonoras através dos três sons distintos do pré-amp e de um EQ semi-paramétrico de três bandas.
