Remasterizada pelo próprio Robert Smith e Miles Showel nos Abbey Road Studios, a edição deluxe de “Wish” dos The Cure será lançada em Outubro.
A edição deluxe celebratória dos 30 anos de “Wish” tem edição marcada para 7 de Outubro e inclui quer versões inéditas quer faixas inéditas, no decorrer das suas 45 faixas divididas em 3 CDs ou 2LPs.
Todas as faixas do projeto editado apenas em cassete e acessível através de encomenda postal em 1993, “Lost Wishes”, estão também incluídas, para além de “A Wendy Band” resultante das sessões de 1992 no Manor Studio verão a luz do dia pela primeira vez. Assim como uma versão ao vivo de “End” e “From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea” a surgir com nova mistura.
“Wish”, originalmente lançado em 1992, inclui uma das faixas de The Cure que mais ecoou na cultura pop recente, “Friday I’m In Love”, a sétima faixa do álbum.
O anúncio surge antes da confirmação da data de lançamento do próximo álbum da banda, que iria suceder a “4:13 Dream”, editado em 2008. Apesar de Smith, em Maio, numa conversa com a NME, já ter professado as suas esperanças em relação ao lançamento do próximo projeto dos The Cure, “Songs Of A Lost World”, também para Outubro. Tal ainda não se confirmou, ao contrário da digressão europeia, que não inclui Portugal, também agendada para Outubro.
