O Record Store Day acontece no dia 20 de Abril em várias lojas de discos independentes.
O Record Store Day está a chegar e como todos os anos há várias pérolas na lista, entre elas, “ Live At Racket, NYC ”, um álbum ao vivo dos The Rolling Stones gravado no concerto de apresentação de “Hackney Diamonds” e o já noticiado novo álbum de Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Mas há mais, Corey Taylor vai editar um novo B-sides, “CMF2B… or Not 2B” que inclui covers de Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne ou Led Zeppelin; uma gravação ao vivo da performance do Talking Heads em novembro de 1977 no WCOZ estará disponível em vinil duplo, apresentando sete músicas inéditas dos tapes originais de dois canais; Siouxsie and the Banshees celebrarão o 40º aniversário do álbum ao vivo “Nocturne” com uma reedição em vinil duplo em velocidade reduzida, apresentando uma nova capa; o álbum “Electronic Sound” e “Wonderwall Music” de George Harrison serão lançados em zoetrope picture disc marcando o início de uma iniciativa de relançamento de todo o catálogo de álbuns de estúdio dos Beatles falecidos.
O evento que celebra as lojas de discos independentes em todo o mundo regressará a 20 de abril – dando aos fãs a oportunidade de comprar lançamentos especiais únicos e colecionáveis em vinil, cassete e muito mais de centenas de artistas – incluindo Fleetwood Mac, U2, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The Doors, Jeff Buckley, The Hives, Lily Allen, Frank Zappa, Gorillaz e Corey Taylor.
