Álbum de tributo a Lou Reed anunciado com cover de Keith Richards para “I’m Waiting for the Man”

A editora Light in the Attic Records anunciou um novo álbum de tributo a Lou Reed que conta com as colaborações de Angel Olsen, The Afghan Whigs, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Keith Richards, entre outros.

Intitulado “The Power of the Heart: A Tribute to Lou Reed” será lançado a 20 de abril, mas a versão de Keith Richards para “I’m Waiting for the Man” já está disponível para audição como forma de comemorar mais um aniversário de Reed.

«Para mim, Lou destacava-se. Era genuíno! Era importante para a música americana e para TODA A MÚSICA!», disse Richards em comunicado. «Sinto a falta dele e do seu cão.»

Para além de Keith Richards, dos Rolling Stones, “The Power of the Heart” conta também com contribuições de Angel Olsen, The Afghan Whigs, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Rosanne Cash e Lucinda Williams, entre outros.

O álbum estará disponível em vinil prateado exclusivamente para o Record Store Day deste ano, além de CD e plataformas digitais. Todos os formatos físicos incluirão fotos de Reed tiradas por Mick Rock e Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, assim como notas escritas pelo produtor do álbum e próximo colaborador de Reed por mais de 25 anos, Bill Bentley.
