Fãs de Neil Young: o cantautor canadiano vai editar “Archives Volume II: 1972-1976” a 12 de Março.
O homem não pára. Poucos dias depois de anunciar a edição do Filme-Concerto “Young Shakespeare”, chega agora um novo (enorme) conjunto de caixas, naquela que é a segunda parte do levantamento definitivo, abrangente e cronológico do lendário corpo de trabalho de Neil Young, sucedendo a “Archives Volume I: 1963-1972”, de 2009. Este novo volume, há muito esperado, centra-se numa era especialmente prolífica e intensa da carreira de Young, durante a qual o músico – muitas vezes a meias com os co-conspiradores Crazy Horse – lançou alguns dos seus álbuns mais pesados e mais viscerais, incluindo “Time Fades Away”, “On the Beach”, “Tonight’s the Night”, “Zuma” e “Long May You Run”. “Homegrown”, lançado recentemente, também faz parte desta história.
A caixa de edição de luxo de “Archives Volume II: 1972-1976” contém 10 CDs com 131 faixas, incluindo 12 canções nunca antes lançadas e ainda 49 novas versões inéditas de clássicos de estúdio e gravações ao vivo tanto a solo como com Crazy Horse (“Odeon Budokan”), The Stray Gators (“Tuscaloosa”), The Santa Monica Flyers (“Roxy: Tonight’s the Night Live”), Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young e The Stills Young Band. Além disso, o lançamento de luxo inclui um Poster dobrável de tamanho gigante, mais um livro de 250 páginas cronologicamente ilustrado com centenas de fotografias (muitas inéditas), materiais de arquivo adicionais, uma base de dados parcial em fita e uma descrição detalhada das músicas.
